The Bee Place
Texas Honey Bee Farms
We are based in Somerset, Texas, and maintain several apiaries—also called “bee yards”—throughout South Central and Deep South Texas where we keep our bees.
We do not operate a brick-and-mortar storefront, and we do not offer tours. Appointments are required.
Where We Are Located
We are based in the Somerset area, about 30 minutes southwest of downtown San Antonio. The map above shows our general location.
We manage several hundred hives throughout South Central and Deep South Texas. While Somerset is our primary base, we maintain bees and occasionally hold events in other areas as well.
Visiting The Bee Place
We do not operate a brick-and-mortar storefront at the farm. Orders are placed through this website, and pick-ups are scheduled by appointment only.
When you place an order, you will select from available Pick-Up Dates. After your order is received, we will provide the physical address and schedule a specific appointment time to meet you for your order and/or class.
For safety and insurance reasons, we do not post our exact address publicly. It is not advisable to visit a bee farm unannounced or without protective gear. Please contact us to schedule an appointment and arrange a proper time to visit.
Classes at Our Location
We offer Basic Beekeeping group classes at our Somerset location on scheduled Pick-Up Dates. These are typically held on a Saturday or Sunday morning and allow new beekeepers to learn in a relaxed, outdoor setting.
